The Songweavers Women’s Chorus and Northern Lights Vocal Ensemble with Director Peggo Horstmann Hodes present a concert, “Tending the Spark” on Friday, December 16th at 7:00 PM at the South Congregational Church at 27 Pleasant Street in Concord, NH. Joining the singers will be the Songweaver Drummers, co-directed by Grace and Lindsey Schust.

Songweavers is New Hampshire’s original women’s community chorus, open without audition to women and teens. Based on the belief that everyone can sing, Songweavers is a coming-together of spirit and heart through music. Begun 30+ years ago by Carolyn Parrott for women who were afraid to sing, it has grown into a joyous chorus of kindred souls. Everyone can sing; it’s a human birthright. When we sing, it makes us happy. It’s a whole body experience. The vibrations the Songweavers make together as a group are transformative, for individual and group alike. Songweavers is a force of nature, driven by the passion and power of each singer joined in harmony with toe-tapping percussion.

Northern Lights

Northern Lights is a women’s vocal ensemble, with a musical goal to create a shimmer of sound through the power of harmony and the magic of many individual voices blending into one. In their own words, the group “aims to expand musical boundaries, to transform ourselves and our audience through inspiring, meaningful songs, and to serve the larger community through sharing our music. We sing a variety of musical styles including folk, jazz, classical, pop, blue-grass, and body percussion.”

Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for children under 12 or seniors (65+). The concert will also be presented via live-stream option with a flat rate of $15. Tickets can be purchased below via credit card, in person at the Music School or by calling us at 603-228-1196. Please note: we will not be creating physical tickets for this concert.
