WHO WANTS TO JOIN A FOLK BAND? Guided by Jordan Tirrell-Wysocki, this is an opportunity for teen students to work together in an ever-evolving folk ensemble, participating in selection of material and developing new arrangements. We explore the dynamics of group playing both musical and social, working toward a low-key performance at the end of each semester. The focus will be on process and fun as much as creating good music, although we always have plenty of the latter as well! This class is open to intermediate and advanced players, and all acoustic instruments are welcome.
