New Horizons R&B (Refreshers & Beginners)
Thursdays, 5:45 – 6:45 p.m.
Always wanted to join a band but your mom wouldn’t let you play a loud instrument? This weekly group class of mixed band instruments will start at the very beginning and help you gain enough comfort to play in an ensemble, including the New Horizons Band! R&B is the perfect band for someone who used to play an instrument, and just needs a “refresher” to play with confidence.
New Horizons Concert Band
Thursdays, 7:00 – 8:15 p.m.
A community band that welcomes adults of all ages who play woodwind, brass, or percussion instruments. No auditions, no requirements, just reasonable comfort on your instrument to get started.
Under the direction of Maria Isaak, New Horizons at CCMS is a supportive group for those who have always wanted to learn an instrument, those who haven’t played in years, and even players who have kept their music making current and desire to play in a concert band setting.
