Four Hands Extravaganza

Longtime friends Abigail Charbeneau and Susan Cobb come together for a four hands piano concert consisting of a wide range of styles by Mozart, Grieg, Rachmaninoff, Beach, and Ziffrin. The performance will be held in the Recital Hall at CCMS. Admission is free; donations are appreciated.


Abigail Charbeneau holds a B.A. in Music from Skidmore College and an M.M. in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Illinois. She has studied with Pola Baytelman, William Heiles, Arkady Aronov, Adaleina Krivosheina, Kenneth Drake, and Reid Alexander. She is the organist at South Congregational Church and Artistic Director and pianist for the Grace Coolidge Musicale Series in Plymouth, VT. Ms. Charbeneau has held faculty positions at Millikin University and the University of Illinois and currently teaches at St. Paul’s School and CCMS. She is also a collaborative pianist at Plymouth State University.

Dr. Susan Cobb taught at Millikin University and received her DMA degree from the University of Oklahoma and her MM and BM degrees in piano performance from the University of Illinois. An active solo and collaborative recitalist, she has performed in Santo Domingo, St. Andrews in New Brunswick, Canada, and in Urbania, Pergola, Urbino, and Piobbico, Italy where she was director of Bella Musica – Millikin in Italy summer immersion for four years. She has been on the faculty of the Summer Sonatina Piano Camp in Bennington, Vermont, the Illinois Summer Youth Music Camp at the University of Illinois, and the Millikin Piano Camp for High School Students.
