Safety Protocols for Covid-19

Concord Community Music School is committed to ensuring the safety of our entire school community. Please note our current Safety Protocols for in-person instruction, programming and public events.

FOR ANYONE ENTERING THE BUILDING:

  • STAY HOME WHEN SICK: Please do not enter the building if you are experiencing any Covid symptoms, regardless of vaccination status. Please follow guidelines for quarantine and isolation from the CDC if you test positive, or if you have been exposed to someone with a suspected/confirmed case of Covid-19.
  • MASKS: Masks are optional unless otherwise stated*. We recognize that the decision of whether or not to continue to wear a mask, when masks are optional, is an individual decision. We are a mask-friendly institution, and masks will continue to be available at the entry table if one is requested. CCMS may require universal masking for ages 2 and older for a period of time if there are increased cases in our region or among CCMS participants or faculty/staff. We will adapt and communicate with our community accordingly.
*A few of our lesson and class instructors will be requiring masks in their lesson studios or classroom. For those instances, instructors will reach out to the students and families with information about specific protocols.
  • HAND HYGIENE: Please continue to follow good hand hygiene and sanitize hands upon arrival.
  • VACCINATION: The CDC emphasizes that vaccination is the most effective way to protect against severe illness or death from COVID-19. CCMS strongly encourages everyone who is eligible to be up-to-date with their COVID-19 vaccines to help keep our community safe.

SWITCH TO VIRTUAL INSTRUCTION DUE TO COVID CONCERNS: Virtual instruction may be offered in place of in-person lessons during the student’s regular lesson time only if a) student or teacher is ill or symptomatic but feel well enough for a lesson, b) CCMS is closed due to inclement weather (and the student and teacher have internet access), or c) if a resurgence of Covid-19 mandates a temporary closing of the facility.

For any questions regarding these safety protocols, please contact Kristin Selesnick, Director of Administration at kselesnick@ccmusicschool.org or call the CCMS office: 603-228-1196.

Please note that our protocols are subject to change: we will communicate any changes to our protocols to our students, faculty, and staff accordingly.
