Northern Lights 2025 Fall Concert: Songs of Hope and Resilience
with special guests Euphonias (CCMS teen chorus).
Prepare to be empowered and uplifted. This program is based on the poem by Emily Dickinson, “Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul and sings the tune without the words, and never stops at all.”
The Northern Lights will be singing songs that answer the chaos of life with hope, light, and resilience. Song titles include: “Hope Lingers On” (written by Lissa Schneckenburger, a traditional fiddle player who used to teach at CCMS, “We Will Rise”, “Resilience”, “Light of a Clear Blue Morning”, and “Tending the Spark”.
As the Northern Lights know that singing together makes people happy, they have also planned several sing-alongs, including “If Not Now, Tell Me When?”, “The Power of Kindness”, and “Singing for our Lives”.
Instrumentation includes guitars, piano, cajon, and percussion.
