For students interested in the art of improvisation, the Youth Jazz Ensemble is the band for you! Using repertoire from the vast tradition of American jazz music as well as drawing from pop and contemporary genres, students will build unique arrangements that feature individual and collective improvisation.

Open to drums, bass, guitar, keyboard, strings, brass, voice, electronics, and woodwind students. For students ages 12-18, with at least 2 years of private study on their instrument. The Teen Jazz Ensemble program rehearses weekly at CCMS.
