Summer Programs

Creative Arts Camp

Our week-long 2011 camp was such a success, we’ve decided to double the fun this year! Our camp will be held the week of July 16 and the week of July 23; parents can register their children for one or both weeks. Students entering grades 1-6 will be grouped by grade level (grades 1-2; 3-4; and 5-6) and rotate through planned activities that include: Singing/Choreography/Instrumental Music with Maria Isaak; Dance and Creative Movement with Heather Oberheim; Visual Arts with Cathy Kaplan; and Fun in the Sun – activities outside in Fletcher-Murphy Park (just outside our doors) with everyone. We’ll begin and end each day with a camp-wide gathering in which participants can share experiences and get to know campers in other groups. Registration information will be available soon.

Jazz Summer Workshop

Please join us for a week of jazz exploration with five of our jazz faculty members: Tom Robinson (piano), David Tonkin (guitar), Richard Gardzina (winds), Don Williams (bass), and John Faggiano (drums). Workshops meet Monday through Friday, starting July 9, from 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. and include ensemble, performance, recording technique, improvisation and instrumental master classes. The workshop is open to instrumentalists, ages pre-teen – adult, of all genres. Registration information will be available soon.
