January 19, 2012 - New Staff Members Join Music School

CONCORD, NH – Concord Community Music School is pleased to welcome two new staff members.

Anne Janeway of Norwich, VT, has joined Concord Community Music School as Director of Development. In this role, she works to attract support for the organization through fundraising, events, and strengthening the Music School’s network of alumni, parents and friends. Janeway brings 20 years of experience in educational administration, alumni relations and fundraising to the Music School. Prior to joining the Music School, Janeway served as Executive Director of the Vermont-New Hampshire Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. She also served as the Alumni Director of her alma mater Middlebury College, The Vermont Law School and Kimball Union Academy. Janeway began her development career at Dartmouth College, and then headed to Massachusetts to work on the capital campaigns at Groton School and Amherst College. She graduated from Middlebury College in 1990 with a B.A. and earned an M.Ed in 1995 at Suffolk University. Janeway looks forward to helping the Music School reach its sustainability goals through increased contributed support.

Kathleen Kelley of Randolph has joined Concord Community Music School as Director of Finance and Administration. She is responsible for ensuring that the finance, administrative and business functions of the Music School support the mission of building a community through music. Kelley graduated from Ohio State University with a degree in accounting and computer science. She left her position as Auditor at Brown University in 1988 and moved to the North Country. She has practiced as a CPA and a fundraising consultant since that time for non-profit organizations. Most recently, as the Development Director of Coos County Family Health Services (CCFHS), Kelley secured grants to support operations and programs such as Infant Massage and Oral Health Outreach. Kelley has served on the board of directors of Council on Fund Raising, Northern Human Services, Coos County Economic Development Corp., Androscoggin Valley Economic Development Inc., Androscoggin Valley Chamber of Commerce, Northern Forest Heritage Park, North Country Educational Services and Miss Berlin-Gorham Scholarship Program.

Increased staff capacity in the areas of development, communications, marketing and finance is a stated goal of the Music School’s Strategic Plan and has been made possible by the success to date of its Sustainability Campaign. The Campaign has received leadership support from Jane’s Trust, Merrimack County Savings Bank, and two anonymous individual donors. Additional matching funds to a challenge grant from Jane’s Trust were contributed by Stonyfield Farm, Fairpoint Communications, Concord Steam, The Frederick Smyth Trust, McLane Law Firm, The Duprey Companies, Orr & Reno, P.A., Ciborowski Associates and Concord Group Insurance.
